About Us
How a community came together to rebuild lives.
From the Ashes, Hope Was Born
Hope for Brantley, Inc. was founded in the midst of the devastating Brantley County wildfires, when families in our community suddenly found themselves displaced, overwhelmed, and in need of immediate support.
When the wildfires began, Katina Herrin, having grown up in Brantley County and deeply connected to the community, immediately began reaching out to people she knew, local businesses, and community members to organize a camper and RV donation drive for families who had lost their homes and everything they owned. Shortly thereafter, Amanda Stanfield joined the effort, helping expand outreach and support throughout the community. What started as a grassroots emergency response quickly became the foundation of what is now Hope for Brantley.
As families continued reaching out for help, it became clear that the need extended far beyond temporary emergency shelter. Many individuals and families continued facing ongoing hardships including housing instability, financial hardship, transportation challenges, and limited access to essential resources.
That realization shaped the future of Hope for Brantley.
Today, Hope for Brantley is being built as a long-term community support organization dedicated not only to disaster relief, but also to helping individuals and families rebuild their lives with dignity, compassion, and practical assistance.
We believe helping people should not stop once the emergency headlines fade. Our goal is to create sustainable programs and partnerships that continue serving our community for years to come.
"At Hope for Brantley, we are committed to Helping Other People Everytime by turning compassion into action and creating lasting hope for those who need it most."
